Hello, my name is TaeJong Oh. I graduated from Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduation, I worked for the discoverer and developer of Chiropractic Biophysics, Dr. Donald D. Harrison. For over 30 years, I have successfully operated a rehabilitation and general practice for the wellness of the patient through spinal and whole body care. My certification is in Chiropractic Biophysics, but my training also includes a variety of other techniques such as diversified, drop table, Thompson, Nimo (form of muscle release), etc.

For the last 27 years, I have lived and practiced in the Northern Virginia area where I got married to a lovely woman and raised two wonderful daughters. After 2.5 years of semi-retirement, I earned a B.A. degree in Religion from Andrews University and concurrently enrolled in a master’s degree program; however, I realized that my gift of providing great chiropractic care to people is a talent that should not be wasted as long as I am able to do so. After all the years of practice and experiencing many forms of postural misalignments, I came to the conclusion to continue the expertise that has developed over the years. Chiropractic care is my chosen profession, and I will do my best to take care of my patients’ needs.

I also enjoy a healthful lifestyle that includes running (marathons) and hiking, and I hold a 2nd-degree black belt in HapKiDo. The best part is hanging out with my wonderful family and I can’t forget about man’s best friend, the German shepherd.

Kristen studied Kinesiology and Dance at University of Maryland where she earned her BS degree. She graduated from Marymount University in 1999 with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy. For the past 15 years she has been working in the DC metro area at private clinics and at larger institutions such as The George Washington University Hospital and Kaiser Permanente. Kristen’s interests and expertise lay in orthopedics and sports rehabilitation. She believes in a holistic and integrated approach to healing. She uses a wide variety of hands-on techniques such as myofascial release, Active Release Techniqeu (ART) and Graston. She also specializes in precise exercise prescription and other physical therapy modalities to promote healing, wellness and return to sports and normal activities.

Kristen has recently completed the full body certification in ART. She regularly takes continuing education classes relating to all aspects of orthopedic and sports physical therapy practice. She believes education is vitally important in order to keep current with new information, techniques, exercise trends and outcome studies that continue to change the way we understand injury, healing and performance.

Kristen completed yoga teacher training in 2012 and is adept at treating injuries stemming from yoga practice.

For the last 9 years Kristen has been studying various methods of energy healing. She has completed certifications in Reiki for the Master Level and Karuna Master Level Practitioner. She finished a three year apprenticeship through Soaring Winds Ministry for advanced energetic and soul healing. The technique learned there involves finding and healing mental and emotional patterns that can hold physical injury in place and which can cause repeated and chronic injuries that can be resistant to traditional methods of treatment. She enjoys bringing these aspects of healing to the art physical therapy.

Kristen performs with local theatre companies and choreographs occasionally for community theatre. Other interests include dance, music, working out, and spending time with her family and friends.
